The case appears to be fabric, maybe some cardboard. Instead of opening a lid, you lift a flap on the bottom and slide the guitar into the case. I'll have to take some pictures of the case as it's rather unusual. I even have the original case for this instrument. I've heard that sometimes these were called "ladies guitars" due to the smaller dimensions. Volume-wise, it's a pretty quiet guitar as you might expect. Some other websites I've seen mention these guitars having ivoriod pegs, but I have no idea what that even looks like. The tuning pegs are a little stiff on some strings. Maybe when I get some news strings I'll record something with it and post it to photobucket or something so you can hear it. It's been in tune ever since I purchased it, though I have never changed the strings in all these years. It takes a special kind of nylon string (it has a bead at one end) because there's no place to wrap a normal classical string around at the saddle/bridge area. Sure I've never taken guitar measurements before, but I'd be happy to oblige if you tell me which dimensions to take. Would you post dimensions for this instrument? Also the neck profile looks triangular, what is it like to play? Sebastiaan56 wrote:I think it would be a great project to try and replicate this instrument.
